Preparing for Presentations, Consolidating Target Language...
What time do you get up?:
Lesson 3 was much like Lesson 2 in this chapter. We had mostly played it out just like it was written in the teachers book. It may sound a little lazy... but the main point of this lesson was for the kids' speaking skills. We had started out with the usual intro and chant, and quickly got into another round of reviewing the daily routine verbs.
But this time for the Activity on page 48, the spotlight was on the kids starting with the practice of asking questions.
Just to help the kids with their memory we had a little "Writing Time" session. Nothing too major and just a simple activity of mixing a little phonics quiz with taking notes. Basically, the kids had to write down all the initials of the verb expressions on page 48.

Well, they would have to memorize all these verbs so they could be successful for the activity I had in store for them for Lesson 4 of this chapter. The pictures below will pretty much explain it all for now. But for what I have in store you'll have to take a look at the next post for Lesson 4.

A lot of practice for the kids since they had to ask both teachers in the room. At the end there was also a lot of student pick up going on asking the kids about their schedules on the page before the end of the lesson.
With the time remaining we had the kids fill in their schedules for the page and get ready in groups for a little show in tell for the next lesson. Keeping them in groups helped us to monitor them for the use of "at" which was usually forgotten. Also, it was good for asking them random questions and keeping them on their toes practicing their lines for the presentation next week; speaking in the target language of daily routines with time expressions.
Hope your lessons were good or even better!
