I usually give a copy of this .pdf to most of the kids that I teach by Lesson 2 or 3 as a supplement on the flip side to a QTW p.. p.. "purinto."
Also, if I have the electronic blackboard available with a LAN hook-up, I usually show and demonstrate to the kids points 1: Alphabet Hunter and 4 (http://www.starfall.com/n/level-k/index/load.htm?f).
Alphabet Hunter by bubblebox.com is a great game for...

This is part of KS1 Bitesize Games flash games menu section of the BBC Schools Learning homepage from England, or should I say, Great Britain, or the U.K.? I'm not so sure but I'm trying to be politically correct here so don't get me wrong... Well there are about 9 games in all and it's really worth a look.
Wild West Phonics involves listening to words then writing or choosing the correct letters to fill in the gaps. Help a character named Molly to send smoke signals by choosing the correct letters. This might be quite tough for Eigo Note kids at this stage but there's quite a good example of what could happen if you or the kid's make a mistake. Really good fun if you've got a few extra minutes at the end of a class just to play one game with the kids.

These are a set of three games involving alphabet games, upper and lower case practice, initial sound games, mid vowel and 3 letter word games found at funfonix.com
You will have the option of playing a game or a quiz for each section. Nice games and and I think the level of difficulty matches quite well with the Eigo Note kids.

Everything is basically here as far as practice goes: ABC's, phonemes, CVC, CCVC, etc., and a very systematic menu. Very creative and very entertaining! A lot of hard work was put into this site and it is no wonder at all that Google gives this site a page rank of 7.
They are helping readers to Read and Game Goo is their Educational Practice Games section. I'm assuming as a free public service to motivate children to read with phonics...
A lot of games here as well with a very creative menu featuring some very interesting characters. Very creative and very entertaining as well! Right up there with a Google Page Rank of 6 for this page. As far as how exciting the games are... I'd say they deserve a page rank of 8. Very fun phonics games and very educational at the same time.
My two favorites are Fearless Frieda, a phonics flash game involving CVC, then CCVC words as you level up, and Alien Scavenger Hunt: Letter Bugs which has the same concept for a phonics flash game for spelling but you don't have to spell in the right order, just shoot the letter... bugs. Good fun for kids!
There will be of course more suggestions and sections coming soon... like the teaser below...
By the way, I really appreciate all the mail and support recently. If you have a link suggestion of your own for a post in this section, and a "call" name, the credit will be all yours if you send it in and if it's posted on the site. So if you'd be so kind, send us your input via the contact form below or the submit news button up top. They are really easy to use if you've got time to punch in a few keys between or after classes. It would be a really big HELP for the site.
Thanks a bunch.

Good fun for kids especially for the third and last term of Grade 6 just when their interests about readind and spelling are really starting to spark up. And yup, its based on hangman which is nothing really new for us ALT's but when a Grade 6er with an eye for spelling sees this type of flash game for the first time, they're hooked! Oh, if you teach Business Classes or the type on the side, "sararimen" love this game too at end of lesson. Very mucho...
