Here are a couple of QTW's you might find interesting. They might be a little hard for the kids so please use them wisely. Our classes may or may not use them depending on our situation.

This is a really simple QTW you could just use for review or for some writing and reading practice for the kids. It should take less than 5 minutes to do in class.

Clothes and Colors Memo and Writing Practice

These are quite tough to hand out because we usually use black and white photocopies. But you can get around this by asking the kids to just circle the pictures in their correct colors with some color pens as a little quiz. Just for fun I usually hand them out first, then wait for a few kids to complain and make them come up with the above suggestion. Thus, you can also teach them "What should we do, then...?" They usually say "Doshio... Doshio..." You can keep a poker face and just say in return, "Ja... doshio, ne!" The kid who gives the suggestion can get a prize for his or her strong initiative.

Matching Food Pictures to their English Words in a Quiz Style Worksheet

Do you have students that aren't afraid of doing a few exercises that include either sight-reading or a little phonics. I'm finding that most kids are getting used to these kind of quizzes. If it seems a little difficult for my students, then I have them perform these quizzes in groups. That way, those kids who have excelled in their English studies can help those around them and gain some much earned admiration. A great booster for some of those students in your class and a simple quiz for those who are looking for a little challenge. If your kids don't mind the challenge have a little "find the word race." As you call out the items in random, the kids can raise their hands and yell out "I found it!" or "I got it!" You'll soon realize what kind of skills your students really have.
