2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games Montage

My 2010 Olympic Montage. I put this together for 2 reasons. To learn a video editing program and relive the games. I did not make this video for any profit gain. I tried to make this montage to reflect the many different countries that participated in the games. I was limited on the amount of Video and Audio clips I had so i did the best i could. I also tried to follow NBC's closing montage theme with the same music. Petra Majdic (Petra Majdič) Vancouver 2010 Olympics...Her Story Of Willpower

Petra Majdič (born 22 December 1979 in Dol pri Ljubljani) is a Slovenian cross-country skier. Her best results have come in classic style races. She has twenty World Cup race victories, sixteen of which have come in sprint races, but she also won a marathon (30 km race) in Trondheim in 2009.[1] She is the first Slovenian cross-country skier to win the World Cup race, the first to get a medal at the World Championships and the first to get an Olympic medal. At the 2007 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, Majdič earned a silver in the individual sprint event. 16 wins in World Cup sprints makes Majdič second most successful World Cup sprinter on skis in history. 2010 Winter Olympics During the warm-up for the 1.4 kilometre classic sprint on the February 17 in the 2010 Olympics she skied off-course, down a bank, into a 3 m (10 ft) deep gulley where she crashed on rocks breaking both ski poles, a ski tip, and sustained four broken ribs along with a pneumothorax.[2] The start time for her qualifying round was pushed back, but she collapsed in pain after qualifying and was taken to hospital to be x-rayed. She returned and, despite the agonizing pain, won her quarterfinal, just got through the semifinal as a lucky loser, and finished third to win the bronze medal in the final, the first individual Winter Olympic medal for Slovenia in 16 years. She earned the highest praise from other skiers, staff and the media for her amazing bravery as she attended the medal giving ceremony <b>...</b>

The pavilion, also called the Chiefs House, curves around a 65-foot-high inflated multimedia dome which came to life with the debut of the pavilions signature show — We Are Here.The BBC Sport - 2010 Winter Olympics Inuit Animation www.youtube.com $3.5 million construction project, supported by VANOC and the FHFN, features a high-tech 3000 square-foot sphere, surrounded by a Coast Salish Longhouse. The Longhouse, which features a 1500 square-foot Trading Post, The Aboriginal Pavilion is located on the plaza of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and each day will be the site of special theme day performances from 11 am to 3 pm celebrating different aboriginal groups from across Canada. From Feb. 12 to 28 the pavilion will also be the venue for aboriginal performances, by artists like Buffy Saint-Marie, the Metis Fiddler Quartet, Mad Eskimo and Joy Harjo as well as traditional drummers and singers from the Four Host First Nations.
